Caught by surprise, Tenno flew back in a rush as the glowing ball missed him. Flying backwards in the air for a moment, he suddenly stopped. Flapping his wings was no longer possible for some strange reason. Confused, Tenno tried to lung forward, but his arms and legs had been locked down, too. He felt around with his hand and discovered an unpleasant, sticky, stringy feeling. Spider webs…
Tenno looked up to see the gigantic spider web he was captured on. Scared and confused, he shook, pulled, and vibrated the web to get away from it. Unfortunately, he did not see the four, glowing, evil red eyes that opened and stared down at him hungrily. He continued to struggle until he noticed something crawling towards him out of the corner of his eye; a gigantic, ugly, hairy spider. Tenno's eyes widened in fear and began to strain from the web again
The spider took its sweet time, for there was no possible way that Tenno was going to escape. But Tenno would not give up. He pulled and struggled as the spider got closer and closer. The spider was only feet away from him now, and Tenno put up the biggest fight he could. But there was little hope for him as the spider neared just inches away from his throat.
Tenno thrashed as hard as he could with the little energy he had left. He suddenly felt the icy touch of the spider's leg on his chin as it turned his head to face it. The spider laughed deeply, "This is the amazing prophecy? …Pah! I'd expected it to be a little bigger…and older…but, such is life…" As the spider moved its legs over him and stood face to face with him, his eyes began to cloud with tears of fear. Just as Tenno was about to struggle again, the spider bit its fangs into his throat. Tenno screamed in pain. He thrashed and struggled to get away from the spider's icy grip.
As he thrashed, his body began to fill with pain. His struggling finally stopped as poisonous venom filled his blood stream and penetrated his entire body. Tenno froze with wide eyes as his body was paralyzed in pain. His eye sight blurred and his mouth gaped. He gagged and spat up blood. "This…can't be it…" Tenno thought helplessly.
He squeaked as the spider released its grip from him. "Prophecy…ha!" the spider mocked, "I'd expected you to put up a half way decent fight…but I guess he will be happy to know you're gone…" The poison was now blinding Tenno, and as the darkness swallowed him up, he gave out one last scream before he went limp.

While walking through the forest with the others, tears rolled down Demi's face as she heard Tenno's scream. "TENNO!!" she cried and raced toward the direction of the scream. The others followed quickly behind her. At last they came upon the giant spider wed that held the limp, unmoving body of Tenno. "NO! Tenno!" Demi shrieked and began tearing at the clinging spider webs. Freed from the webs, Tenno limply fell into Demi's arms.
"Tenno…" Demi sobbed, "Tenno, please don't be dead…" Demi lightly shook Tenno as she held him, but he didn't respond or move. Thatch slowly came up to them, sobbing with Demi. Jakle came up to Tenno and lifted his limp arm and held it for a second at his wrist. "…Guys, don't worry… I think I've got a pulse…" Thatch and Demi gasped and Demi set Tenno on the ground gently. Jakle knelt down beside him and put and ear up to Tenno's chest and waited a moment. He could hear an unsteady heartbeat and quick, rasping breaths.
"He's alive, but barely," Jakle stated. He then saw Tenno's bloody throat and figured it a little without hurting him. He drew the blood up to his face it inspect it. He moved his finger back and forth and noticed an unusual blue liquid glisten within the blood. "He's poisoned," Jakle spoke as soon as he saw it. Demi gasped, "Well, you can help him, right?" Jakle shook his head, "Sadly, I can't. Spider poison is tricky, and it takes years to master antidote recipes for it…" Demi grabbed Jakle's shoulders, "Please! You've got to do SOMETHING!" Jakle sighed, "Well, I'd have to head over the hills where and ancient sorcerer live. If I can get to him, he'll have a cure."
Demi sighed of relief…for now… They still had to GET the antidote for Tenno to survive. "We've got to get it then!" Thatch broke the silence. Jakle nodded, "Of course. Demi, you stay here with Derrot and Tenno while Thatch and I got fetch the antidote. That way, you and Tenno will have protection." They all nodded and Thatch and Jakle headed off immediately.

Later that evening, Thatch and Jakle had made it out of the forest and headed up the hills. "Since we'll be out in the open tonight, let's not make a fire… Don't want to attract 'unwanted visitors'," Jakle stated. "Good call," Thatch agreed. Even though it wasn't true, Thatch felt Tenno's time was short and he wanted to be there for him. Although, if he didn't go with Jakle, the time to get the antidote would take even longer, and Tenno's time WOULD be very short if they didn't get him a cure soon.

Meanwhile, back at the forest, Derrot and Demi had moved Tenno away from the area where the spiders roamed. Derrot now reclined up against a tree and rested, while Demi knelt at Tenno's side, stroking his hair gently. She sighed and thought, "…Do I like this boy? I…I just don't know…I've noticed things he's done for me and…things I've done around him…I…think I do…a lot…" Tenno suddenly coughed, and Demi excitedly said, "Tenno? Tenno are you awake?" Tenno slowly opened his eyes. He blinked. "Tenno?" she asked again. He turned his head to her. "…Demi?" "Yes?" Tenno paused as a tear rolled down his cheek.
Demi realized that something was wrong. Tenno wasn't crying for joy…he had no other expression on his face but sadness. "Yes? Tenno, what's wrong?" Tenno blinked again, and then slowly and unsurely asked, "………are…are my eyes open?" Demi's eyes widened with sadness. Tears clouded her eyes as she said, "…yes…they are…" Tears rolled down Tenno's face as he reached up and touched hers, "I…can't see you…" Demi's face pelted with tears. She lightly laid her head on Tenno's chest and cried for him. "Oh, Tenno," she sobbed, "the poison blinded you…"
Tenno hugged her and cried as well. He longed so much to see her beautiful face again, but instead, the last thing he saw was the face of the hideous spider. "No…" Tenno thought, "My parents will kill me so easily now…" As Demi lifted her head, Tenno tried to get up, too, but the same, sick, painful feeling came back, and he fell back to the ground. "Tenno!" Demi cried, "Are you ok?" Tenno moaned and coughed. He couldn't breath! He motioned for Demi to flip him over, and he coughed up blood.
He fell limp with exhaustion afterwards. Demi gently picked him up and held him in her arms. "Jakle…Thatch…please hurry…" she sobbed.

It began to get dark, but the two had made it to the top of the hills. "So, where does this guy live…exactly?" Thatch asked. Jakle paused as they reached the top. "There," he pointed to an old cottage. "Hmm…smaller than I expected…" Thatch stroked his chin. "Come on, the quicker we get there, the quicker Tenno gets better," Jakle said as he stared towards the cottage. "Right…coming!" Thatch replied and followed and they headed to the cottage below.
Aww...poor Tenno...he's not doing so well is he? :(
Hopefully Thatch and Jakle get what they're looking for!
